So you’ve decided that you want to homeschool. Congrats! That’s the first step! Understanding your state’s requirements for homeschooling should be the next thing you look at when determining if homeschooling is right for you. I live in North Carolina and will be posting the link to my state. If you need help finding the information for your state, please contact me and I will do all I can to help you! Homeschooling should be a fun adventure for all, however, you need to make sure you are in compliance with your state’s rules and regulations!

Egypt Unit Study

ww

I happened to stumble across this today & thought it may benefit some of you. 3dinosaurs and RoyalBaloo combined their awesomeness to make a unit study on Egypt. They look amazing! If you are interested in these downloads you can find them here and here. The download from 3dinosaurs is geared towards younger children (K-1) and from RoyalBaloo grades 1-3. These are awesome downloads that these ladies have offered FOR FREE! If you download these Unit Studies, please take a moment & tell them you enjoy them!

FREE Dr. Martin Luther King Mini Unit Study

Today marks the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington, and to honor this, Mama’s Learning Corner is offering a free Mini Unit Study on Dr. Martin Luther King.

Taken from her website:

Enjoy working through this mini Unit Study in your own homeschool.  This small study is geared towards 2nd and 3rd graders who are (mostly) independent readers.  Of course the books, videos, and some of the websites could be used with younger children with an ample amount of mom’s help.

This study includes book suggestions, You Tube videos of King’s speeches, websites with pertinent historical data related to King and his family, and (of course) a section of Activity Pages.

She has also taken the time to link to other online resources about Dr. Martin Luther King.
