A day that changed us all…

There are certain things that happen in your life that change it forever. You will always know where you were, what you were doing and who you were with. September 11, 2001 is one of those days. I was a senior in high school. I was in a math class, with a teacher who is now one of my good friends. We watched a tv in our classroom, and sat together as one whole class. Nobody said anything. All we could do was watch. Before we left that class, our teacher said all we could do was pray. Pray for those in the buildings trying to get out, pray for those trying to get in the buildings to help people, people on the planes, people on the street…PEOPLE. Fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, children. PEOPLE. Our lives were forever changed that day. And our lives have not, and will not, ever be the same. May we all NEVER FORGET.

Here are just a couple of links if you are needing some help with teaching your children about what happened. I have not posted any links to any videos or images. I do not feel like it is my place to put those images out there. It’s been 12 years and my heart still hurts when I see pictures, hear 911 calls or see video footage. Everybody deals with grief in their own way. Find it within yourself to decide how you want to talk to your children about this day.
